Indeed ... leaving the cube out just makes it all a little looser ... not sure I could find a rotation that would open it but I can seen some might be tempted to try. Thanks for that George!! Definitely prefer it with the cube inside though...allardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02137859069894390167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1325321154517773060.post-85011983966906598312012-10-18T14:34:25.505+01:002012-10-18T14:34:25.505+01:00My comment came from my recollection of Gregory...My comment came from my recollection of Gregory's comment on the cassetete.org blog. I don't think he will mind if I copy it here, as it is interesting:

Greg Benedetti: "The inside 2x2x2 forbid rotational moves.
Those moves do not help for the solving, goal with the inside cube puzzlers can not use the turns, And They are not tempted to use force, so They Can not "hurt" the puzzle.
In a metal version, this puzzle Certainly Would Be better without the cube, Because The puzzlers Would Be in front of a very loosely puzzle, with only one feasible way to solve it."Georgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10140920751826036814noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1325321154517773060.post-56366159747049055782012-10-18T07:36:17.560+01:002012-10-18T07:36:17.560+01:00Hmmm, interesting George - some experimentation ma...Hmmm, interesting George - some experimentation may be required...
